You may be interested in knowing more about the commitment of Tustin Unified to career and technology education (CTE). CTE is valuable in ensuring TUSD students are informed, prepared, and well positioned as they pursue future careers. TUSD has 15 career pathways in which students can take courses and learn about clusters of careers and jobs. TUSD has 60 industry based advisors working to assure that our CTE remains up to date with industry expectations as they change. TUSD is taking steps to increase awareness of CTE among middle school students and parents. In our Coastline ROP consortium, in which I represent Tustin Unified, we have recently piloted programs including careers in artificial intelligence (including internship opportunities) and medical innovation and entrepreneurship education. We have a new magnet academy for grades 6 to 12 that is dedicated to Technology, Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (TIDE) across its curriculum. I would be pleased to speak with anyone who either had suggestions, wanted to advise from an industry point of view, or have questions about TUSD's work in CTE.
